[ Welcome to June ] :: Jun 6th, 2008, 11:39am We're entering June with a small flurry of shows, to which we would love to extend a warm welcome. We're performing in SE Ohio, in KY with the fabulous Garrison Starr (including a 6/14 show in Cinci), and in MI with Rachael Sage, Katie Todd, and Brian Vander Ark of The Verve Pipe. Check our Tour Dates for all the details!   And there are some new additions to Ellery online...   Ellery was chosen by CiNWeekly in Cincinnati as their featured artist for the month of June. We stopped in at Studio 312 to chat with the fine CiN folks and record a few tunes (including one brand new never-recorded track)...   Our piano quit working unexpectedly, so the songs are guitar-only -- they've become a Studio 312 exclusive. :) You can find them Here.   Also online, for the first time in three years, our Gallery page is OVERHAULED, (new!), featuring a format with which we're genuinely in love. :) You'll find new pictures and a much more user-friendly experience. [ May in the World of Ellery ] :: May 8th, 2008, 2:43pm Hello friends, Welcome to the month of May!   We've been enjoying a Spring season that's had us at home more than we've ever been. Out of this relative hibernation have come new songs that are leading us toward another full-length. We're enormously excited about the themes that are developing for the new album, and we've chosen not to rush them -- To let them seep into the music in whatever way it happens. Which has so far been such an inviting experience; we're excited to share the new material with you!   Speaking of which, many more shows are coming up this month and next. Our live shows are taking on some new instrumentation that's been inspiring to both of us... Please make a plan to join us when we're near you again!   Until then, take a look around... [ The Year so Far... ] :: Mar 31st, 2008, 6:49pm Ellery's had an eventful year so far, participating in Paste's RockNReel Contest, showcasing at the International Folk Alliance, and playing a line of fine shows in the midwest. March had us rooted at home: a time away from the momentum of the last few years that allowed us to see ourselves and our dreams more clearly. There's more about that on the Journal page...   Meanwhile, we continue to work toward a new record. We'll keep you posted!   In April we'll be touring in Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin, before heading back to Ohio for a benefit for an HIV/AIDS clinic in Nigeria on the 19th, and a weekend in Kalamazoo, MI. We'll be keeping a Tour Journal while we're away... We'll give you the lowdown on our shows and on Road Goings-On, including whatever mishaps (and embarrassing Justin moments) might occur. The winner will perform on the 'Cayamo Journey Through Song' cruise in February, along with artists like Emmylou Harris, Lyle Lovett, Buddy Miller, John Hiatt, Patty Griffin, and several others.     A panel of celebrity judges will choose the winner from these five artists, so wish us luck -- And thank you all so much for your votes!  Also be sure to check out the free Ellery song downloads below!
